Freaky.nu was registered in April 2001, for the purpose of providing free hosting for outstanding webmasters and their sites.

It is hosted by the fantastic Positive Fusion, who I would highly recommend to anyone looking for high quality, reasonably priced hosting.

Freaky is run by Louise, aka Soulstarsinger. I run several sites of my own, and I'm a bit of a domain name addict (to put it mildly). However, it wasn't always so, and I know how irritating pop-up ads and free-server restrictions can be. Hence the creation of this site. Plus, I really wanted the domain, and at least it's not just sitting around doing nothing now. ;-)

The site was hand-coded in HomeSite 5, and the graphics were manipulated / created in Paint Shop Pro 7.
The original photo used for the main site graphic came from TonyStone.com. Fonts used are blueBaby and Café Pop. I also used various brushes from JenR's Custom Brushes, Beautiful-Sin.net, Nocturna.net, and Silhouette.

Freaky.nu is viewable on a screen resolution of 640x480 upwards. I strongly recommend using a browser which is stylesheet (CSS) compatible (Netscape / IE 4+, Opera 5+), although the site will be viewable (though less pretty) in older browsers. The site was designed using (and therefore optimised for Win98/IE5.5 at 800x600 resolution).
